I don't know that he campaigned on the Internet for anything. Somebody posted something about him, he posted to clear somethings up, and then people started asking him questions.

Like you, I am a skeptic at times. I am always skeptical of people that get labeled as a "coach" simply because they have previously held a coaching job. The guy Lee hired has a record of 100-121. Not real impressive. Would you go to a doctor who was only successful at surgery 45% of the time? Heck, he might have been a "doctor" for 20 years, but I sure wouldn't go to him.

I would tend to gravitate towards the younger guy, the one with the "fresh" experience who has seen football played in more than one way. Read about your new coach. His claim to fame seems to be his penchant for running trick plays. That is a weak football team's answer to try and win games.

Yes, football coaching jobs are political appointments. Football generates lots of revenue, even at the HS level. Coaches are expected to produce and keep the stands full. Did he tell the boosters why he resigned as coach? He sure wouldn't tell the Washington Post, other than to say he just felt it was time.

I wish him all the luck in the world. It is no skin off my neck regardless of who Lee hires. I just think somebody would wake up so you don't have to hire another coach next year.
